This Privacy Policy describes how Second View (the "App"), published by Benoit Linard ("we", "us"), handles information when you use the App on an iOS or Android device. We designed Second View to work almost entirely on-device and we do not operate any account system.

Where the two platforms differ (for example, how advertising measurement and subscriptions are handled), this policy calls out the difference. If you have any questions, contact us.

Summary

• We do not collect your name, email, address, or any account identifier.
• We collect anonymous usage data via Mixpanel to understand how features are used. This data is not linked to your identity.
• We use the Meta (Facebook) SDK to measure how our advertising performs. On iOS, an advertising identifier is shared with Meta only if you allow tracking when prompted. On Android, the device advertising ID is used unless you opt out in your system settings. Either way, you can change your choice at any time.
• We do not sell your personal data.
• Your photos, settings, and capture history stay on your device.
• Subscriptions are handled by Apple or Google and by RevenueCat; we never see your payment details.

1. Information the App Accesses on Your Device

Second View requests a small set of system permissions to function. All of the data below is processed locally on your device unless explicitly stated otherwise.

Camera (The only mandatory one)

The App accesses the rear camera to render a live viewfinder. The camera feed is displayed on screen and cropped to simulate multiple framings. The camera feed is not recorded, uploaded, or transmitted. If you tap the capture button, a still image is saved on your device (see below).

Photos and Saved Captures

Every capture is saved to the App's own private storage, which powers the in-app gallery along with its metadata (such as the framing and exposure settings used). This private copy never leaves your device and requires no special permission.

You can also choose to save a copy to your device's shared photo gallery so it appears alongside your other photos:

• iOS: the App asks for add-only Photos permission. It only writes to your library; it never reads, uploads, or shares your other photos.
